Opening a Demat or trading account with Share India is a simple online process. Here’s how to do it:
1. Go to https://www.shareindia.com/open-demat-account and fill in your mobile number, which will generate an OTP. Fill in the OTP to progress to the KYC stage.
2. Enter your PAN card details for KYC verification, along with your date of birth.
3. Enter your contact details, including your contact number and email address and verify them via OTPs sent.
4. After this, select the segments that you would like to trade in, such as equity, futures and options, commodity derivatives, algo trading, etc.
5. Now, fill in and verify your bank details using your bank account number, IFSC code and account type. Please ensure that you add details only for the bank account you wish to link to your trading account for transactions.
6. At the next stage, you will be prompted to fill in your Aadhar number and connect to DigiLocker for the same. Just need to fill in your secure 6-digit DigiLocker PIN to verify the details.
7. Add and verify your personal details in this step. It is preferred that all boxes are duly filled.
8. You must upload a selfie taken through the device. Please ensure that your device camera has access to your browser and you have a clean frame for your selfie. Once clicked, you can save it.
9. After that, you are required to upload a scanned copy of your signature. Please ensure it’s made with a ballpoint or ink pen. Markers or sketch pens are not acceptable. The picture should be cropped neatly and proportionately.
10. Verify if your PAN card details uploaded earlier are correct under the PAN card section.
11. In the next section, your Aadhar details will have been picked up automatically through DigiLocker. However, if they are not shown, please upload your Aadhar card manually.
12. Next, upload an income proof document from the listed items. You can also fetch the last six months’ statements directly by clicking on ‘Get 6 Months Bank Statement’ from the list of approximately 50 banks.
13. In this section, you must list out your nominees in the Nominee Details section.
14. Lastly, you will be redirected to your e-sign using Aadhar to agree to the terms and conditions laid out by Share India. Once you have read the document, please check the approval box and submit it.
And that’s it! Once your details are verified, you will get your login credentials on your registered email ID. In case verification fails at any step, you will be notified of that too, and our customer support team will guide you through the process.
