To close your account, you can use the online account closure link: and fill in your account details and reason for closure.
Make sure there are no outstanding dues or holdings in your account. After submitting, you’ll receive an email from Share India to authenticate your request using an OTP.
Closing your Demat or trading account means you are permanently shutting down your account with Share India. This means you will no longer be able to:
- Buy or sell stocks, shares, mutual funds, or other securities.
- Access your investment portfolio.
- Receive dividends or other corporate actions.
When you close your account, you cease to hold:
- Ownership of any securities held within the account. You must first sell or transfer these assets to another account before closing.
- The ability to place any future trades through that specific brokerage.
