How long does it typically take to activate an HUF trading account?

The activation of an HUF trading account typically takes 3-5 days, depending on the accuracy and completeness of the documents submitted. If all documents are in order, the process is usually quick, but any discrepancies or missing documents may cause delays.

Here’s a brief overview of the steps to open and activate an HUF trading account:

You need to fill out our application forms, attach the supporting documents, and courier them to the address below:

Application Forms

• Demat Account Opening Form (PDF)
• KYC Application Form: This form needs to be filled by the Karta of the HUF. (PDF)

Supporting Documents

• Duly attested copy of PAN Card (for the HUF).
• Proof of Address (any of the following, not older than 3 months):
  1. Certificate of Incorporation/Formation, Registration Certificate, or other document.
  2. Latest Telephone Bill (Landline only).
  3. Latest Electricity Bill.
  4. Latest Bank Account Statement.
  5. Registered Lease/Sale Agreement of Office Premises.
• Duly attested copy of PAN Card (for the Karta).
• Proof of Address (Karta) UID card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID card.
• Cheque of ₹1150 and a Cancelled Cheque.

Please ensure that all documents are clearly filled and signed to avoid any delays.

HUF Declaration Form

In addition to the HUF deed, you will also need to fill out and submit the HUF declaration form, which can be downloaded here. 

This form requires:

• Name and signature of the Karta
• Name and signature of adult coparceners
• Name and date of birth of minor coparceners (if applicable) 

The seal of the HUF must also be affixed to the declaration form to confirm its authenticity.

Once these forms and documents are ready, please courier them to the corporate office of Share India at:

Once we receive the courier, our team will verify the documents, which typically takes 3-5 business days. In case everything is in your order, you will be intimated about your account activation. You will be given the account credentials to start trading.
