How do I manage my portfolio on the web trading platform?

You can easily manage your portfolio on the web trading platform. Here’s how: 

  1. Click on “Orders” or “Positions” to track your current orders and executed orders.
  2. Here’s what you will see:
  • Order Book: This section displays all your pending and executed orders. It shows details like order time, symbol, quantity, price, order status, etc. It’s where you track the progress of your trades.
  • Trade Book: The Trade Book provides a historical record of all your completed trades. It displays information like the time of trade, symbol traded, exchange, product type, quantity, price, order status, and other relevant details.
  • Positions: This tab displays your active or open trades, meaning the stocks or contracts you’re currently holding that haven’t been closed out. You can see information like the product, symbol, net quantity, average price, net profit/loss (P&L), exchange, instrument type, net value, realised P&L, buy/sell flags, buy average price, buy amount, and sell details.
  • Margin:  The Margin tab displays your available funds for trading, including cash and other forms of collateral.  It shows various margin-related details, such as:
  1. Cash: Your available cash balance.
  2. Cash Available: Likely the same as Cash, or potentially available cash after deductions.
  3. Additional: Potentially additional funds added or available.
  4. Margin Utilised: The amount of margin you have already used for trades.
  5. Margin Utilised %: The percentage of your available margin that has been utilized.
  6. Booked Profit/Loss: Your realized profit or loss.
  7. Net MTM Profit/Loss: Your overall marked-to-market (MTM) profit or loss.
  8. MTM Profit/Loss: Your unrealized profit or loss.
  9. Pay In/Pay Out: Funds deposited or withdrawn.
  10. Adhoc, Collateral, OSP Credit, Delivery Selling Benefit, MTM Loan: Other margin-related components. 

The Margin section essentially tells you how much buying power you have for placing trades.

Holdings: The Holdings tab displays the stocks and other securities you own in your Demat account.  You can see information like:

  • Symbol: The stock or security symbol.
  • Total Quantity: The total number of shares held.
  • Current Value: The current market value of your holdings.
  • Profit/Loss: The unrealized profit or loss on your holdings.
  • Balance Quantity: Likely the available quantity for trading.
  • Pending Quantity: Shares pending delivery or transfer.
  • Sold Quantity: Shares sold from your holdings.
  • Close Price: The last traded price of the security.
  • Average Price: Your average purchase price.
  • Invested Value: The total amount you invested in the security.
  • Client ID & Holdings Quantity: Your client ID and the quantity held, likely for verification.
  • Trade Collateral Quantity: Shares available as collateral for trading.

This section allows you to pledge your existing holdings (stocks and other securities) as collateral for margin trading.
